In 1999, we competed against several firms to conceptualize a new line of mass market body sprays. When our name ‘Bod’ was chosen, we produced Bod’s first campaign of 3 national TV spots featuring the 18-22 year old guys with the best bods we could dig up (casting on Venice Beach was rough!) 10 years later, Bod is the top-selling mass market male body spray, and we’ve just completed our third campaign of commercials for TV and cinema, along with spots for new Body Heat Cologne, a Bod product extension also conceived and named by wsaa!

Juice Bar
Project: Juice Bar Commercial

To launch Juice Bar, a teeny-bopper body spray in flavors like “Cotton Candy” and “Gummy Bear,” we created catchy, “pop queen” music and an animated satire of a music video with a stick-figure all-girl band, each character representing a product flavor. Thanks to the incredible music Amber Music NYC wrote for our lyrics and brilliant animation from Wild Brain SF we ended up with a spot sung on middle school buses far and wide (at least one we know of).

Designer Imposters
Project: Designer Imposters Commercial

The Designer Imposter Body Spray spot is a wsaa classic. A demonstration of how to use body spray, which must be used naked, meant black bars had to cover the body for the commercial to air on television. Add to that, casting a then undiscovered Ali Larter as our demonstrator, and we had a hip and sexy commercial that captured the attention of America’s youth, including “Beavis and Butthead” who talked about it frequently on their show.

Founded by CEO Andrew Farkas in 2003 with a mission to “elevate the level of marina experiences worldwide,” IGY engaged wsaa shortly after its inception. Creating marketing targeted to audiences that range from captains of industry to the captains (and crew) of their boats, our campaign has appeared from Dubai to Croatia to the Caribbean. Now boasting over 25 marinas, our scope of work has included print ads, collateral, trade show creative and materials, corporate videos, presentations and recently, the first global directory for this young, but fast-growing company.

The flagship brand of IGY-owned marinas, Yacht Haven Grande is a “lifestyle destination” encompassing a 5-star marina, dining, living, shopping, recreation and more. We began brand development for YHG St. Thomas a year before ground was broken. Our initiatives for St. Thomas and the upcoming YHG Anguilla have included advertising, collateral, environmental and web. Our campaigns have targeted yacht owners, crew, cruise ship passengers, island locals, potential residence owners and retail tenants.
