When a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, she needs more than medical help. She needs rides to treatments, babysitting, grocery delivery, wigs and much more. Many women rely on free mammograms as well. While there are local organizations that help provide these services to uninsured and under-insured women, of course, they’re in great need of funding. This need led to the formation of Pink Aid, a new grant-based organization created to help finance these services. WSAA has worked with Andrew Mitchell-Namdar of Mitchells Family of Stores from the start to see this vision come to life. Starting with just a concept, WSAA named the organization, created the logo, website and invitations and collateral for the inaugural Pink Aid Event. “The Pink Chair Fashion Show & Luncheon” will be on October 6, 2011 at Mitchells of Westport. We are so happy to be welcoming Robin Roberts, co-anchor of “Good Morning America” as our keynote speaker. The event will feature pink chairs designed by interior designers for auction. Amy Gross and Renée Mandis, co-owners of wsaa, inc. are thrilled to be co-chairs of this event! For more information, visit pinkaid.org.
Oversized Book Positions Mitchells/Richards as World-Class Diamond Jeweler
Diamonds at a clothing store? Or is clothing at a diamond store? Mitchells/Richards wanted us to educate their audience to the fact that they are not just clothing retailers with a jewelry department, but one of the finest jewelers in the Connecticut – and the world – offering impeccable expertise, designers and selection at an exceptional value. Launching just in time for Mother’s Day, “the proof was in the pudding” as to the success of this piece. Let’s just say that a lot of moms were very happy!!!
WSAA Launches New Site for
Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County
Habitat of Coastal Fairfield County, CT, one of Habitat’s best-funded and most active affiliates, came to wsaa to re-concept and re-design their site. To make the site more compelling to volunteers, donors and potential homeowners, we wanted to capture the emotion of what they do and what it means to the families they help. We created a moving new tag line “Making Homes Come True,” featuring stories of real families. The home page highlights current “builds” and donating events and heartfelt testimonials from government officials and others are seen throughout the site. The site’s homepage features portraits donated by New Haven photographer Aaron Kotowski. Launch party May 31!!!
WSAA Launches Milford Hospital Website
In February 2011, wsaa launched an all-new website for Milford Hospital. A complete revamp in concept, design and functionality, the website is a full expression of the boutique community hospital’s new tag line, “World-Class Medicine Without the Stress.” The hospital, seeking new branding to position it against many neighboring “city hospitals,” tapped wsaa in Spring 2010 to create its new campaign.
WSAA Relaunches Samuelsohn Brand
The reaction at the Fall 2011 “Market Week” for wsaa client Samuelsohn’s anticipated re-launch was spectacular! We rebranded Samuelsohn for “Market” with a new logo and tag line, “Never Compromise,” new labels, hangtag, showroom banners and an exciting 3-page cover/first spread ad in January’s Men’s Retail Magazine! Look out for the Montreal menswear brand, redesigned by Arnold Brandt-Silverstone to be a big presence in men’s retail in 2011!
Mitchells Shoot in St. Barts for Spring ’11
For Mitchells Family of Stores’ Spring photo shoot, we captured two couples enjoying a great getaway weekend in St. Barths. Shooting in one of the most magnificent private homes on the island, we had lots of good times on our “Spring Jaunt” — and the shots show it… ”Fun is never over-rated”!!!
